Spoons work pretty good but this technique Im going to tell you always works for me. Try and see if you can catch a bluegill or a sucker minnow (if you can't you should be able to at a bait shop) once you get one keep it on your hook. Then cast the fish on your hook right back out. Slowly reel it back in. The fish on your hook should still be alive and will flop around in the water. If there are pike in the water they will go right after it. Good Luck man |
