I need advice for fishing at the beach- how and what kind of bait?

I am going to fernandina beach soon, I love to fish, but have never fished from the shore. I would appreciate any advise from the pros....kind of rod- bait- tips....thanks!!

The best suggestion is when you get to the area, go to the closest bait shop and ask them. The bait changes according to what fish are running. When we go to Alaska we sometimes use herring, sometimes shrimp, other times we use squid. It all depends on whats in the water at the time so its more natural..good luck on the fishing!!

it depends on where you go, different places = different fish. I usually go with a smaller hook with shrimp as bait
