hey man, i don't know what state you are in but, i am in ga. if i was a visitor to ga, and i was staying for a week but only fishing for a day, i could buy a day pass. it is only a few bucks, shoot me your state and i will see what i can figure out. but more than likely the state that you are in or going to has a one day permit. don't know. but tell you a little secret. i have fished for 15 plus years and bought my first fishing license a year and a half ago. i am not saying you dont have to have one, but you can take that as you want. i have never shown it to anyone or had to pull it out for proof. and since you will be on the beach, there is probably a .000002565325 chance out of 2656516541651656,65465454 that some one will even give a dam&%*. but you might want to check out the day pass though. man good luck and good fishin

I see lots of people speeding in their cars, but I still don't want to get caught. The point is, find out what the penalty is and be prepared to be the only one who gets caught.

Most pier and charter boats have "blanket license" that covers everyone who is fishing...The surf, is different...I do not live in Alabama, but in NC, I have been checked several times, and I think the ticket is much more than the $15 license...You may get by as a tourist, but there are some hard case officers out there also....Another thing to consider...In NC, if you use "stripped flounder belly" for bait, you have to have the carcass of the flounder it came from to justify it was of legal length to keep...I buy mine at the local fish market, and always keep the receipt with me when fishing.....
