Circle, more chance of a hook-up with the fish and it wont damage the fish as much as often they hook them in the jaw, unlike standard hooks which will often get swallowed.

the object of a circle is when the fish runs with the hook, the tension of the line will pull the hook toward the side of the mouth, the design of the hook Will want to bury itself in the corner of the mouth. your fish needs to be aggressive, "eat and run" aggressive
