Default Are my fish fighting( IDK if call fighting ) bc of territory or something else?

Ok i just got a new Convict Chiclid and i had three before i got this one but my sister and i were just about to feed them this morning and the new one named popsicle ( my sis named ) was swimming and the other one bit him on the side and then it kinda looked like they were kissing but IDK they are about a little over 2 months old. Popsicle is a little darker then the other three. If you need to know they all live in a 50 gal. tank and they have three different rocks and a few plants, no caves. Heat is at 75 at all times, clean tank once every month
I also did rearrange the plants and rocks and every thing that can be rearraged. and my fish still fight or is it somthing else. I don't know what gender all of them are.

As a long time breeder and keeper of South Americans i can tell you this is most normal. See even though you have a nice sized tank and people tell you that should be fine for X amount of fish there's always this one problem. Nobody told the fish that !!!

See you fish view their perceived territory as a space bigger than your tank, that's just the way they are programmed. Now add them all at the same time and they divide up the space that they have and they make do. But if you later try to introduce a new buddy then that's what happens. Even if you rarage everything they still know that the new fish is an outsider. Sry

You should remove that fish now asap unless you want it dead. The kissing behavior as you call it is called lip locking and its how cichlids fight, not a good thing. Good Luck

could be teritory, when i put new fish in they get chased or do the chasing with all of them, tetras and platies but the one who does chase with teritory is my shark, but he is a very teritorial fish, they don't mean to harm, just warn to make the others flee, when i do spot it though i open the lid and put my net in, they soon stop it
