fishing spots in Nanaimo bc ?

about a week ago i went fishing with my brother ans sister during a bullhead competion. we had to catch the biggest, smallest and uglyist. it was an okay spot to fish but we would like to try somewhere else. possible to catch bigger fish. we are begginers without a boat so anywhere that we could stand on a dock would be great. we have a linences and rods but no where to fish. does anyone know of a good place to fish in nanaimo?
