anybody familar with british columbia fishing (southern bc, (penticton)).?

I'll be going to penticton bc and would like to do some fishing. I am not a fly fisherman, but I would like to try someday. I'm more of a bass fisherman, but always love to try different stuff. Does anybody know where to go, what lures to use? I'm not even familiar with all of the different species of fish in that area. What should we expect to catch? I wouldn't mind finding a guide maybe on one of the days, but I'd like to keep the cost down as much as possible. All advice about penticton will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
