Default where is the best place to fish for trout and stay over in northern...

...california in August? My hubby is throwing a bachelor fishing trip and he is looking for a location within 2/3 hours from the bay area ( california). Camping for maybe 10, or else a cabin or something. This trip will be on a budget, so even though all the men dream of a 4star getaway, they simply can't afford it. the main aspects are that they want to go somewhere beautiful where the fishing for trout will be okay( hopfully great) and the temperature not too unbearable in August. Thank you for your input.
