Whats a good carp rod ?

Im was out fishing at my local lake when i was approached by the bailiff saying that i should think of buying a rod with a thinner tip ? i think he meant less test curve im not sure , i think he means one of the rods with a lot of eyes that get really thin. Im on a kinda tight budget at the minute so if you know of a rod like this please place a website link in a reply or if you want to sell one im sure we can arrange something
