No. I dont understand what you are saying, but a full grown carp is going to need upwards of 500 gallon plus. They are pond/river/lake fish. Not tank fish.
I have seen some weird fish combinations too, but it doesnt mean its right. Carp grow TOO LARGE to be kept in an aquarium. Simple as that.
I dont care how much it weighs. How long was it? The max size for a fish in a 55 gallon is 10 inches. 55 gallons are 12 inches wide. And if the fish grows any larger than 10 inches, it will have problems turning around.
And again, just because the tanks 3 feet long, doesnt mean its hold enough water. I have a 35 gallon tank thats 3 feet long. I also have a 90 gallon tank thats 4 feet long. We need the other dimensions of the tank to figure out how much it holds.
From the sound of it, you dont know what you are doing. So dont put the carp in your tank, regardless of if you have enough room or not. And, if you catch a GAME FISH from the wild and raise it... Most places actually list that as illegal. And, to top it off for you, releasing the any domesticated fish into the wild is also illegal. So, if you catch and raise him, thats one illegal action. Then, you keep him for a few months, and release him. Thats another illegal action. Seriously, get another fish. One that you can keep its entire life. |
