i fish in the john day river almost every year and i need some bait tips for carp?

what should i use for catching the big carp i se thim swimm and jump all the time but can never ever catch thim and i wont to for a big fight im catching big cat fish with just earth worms but never catch carp on worms so i know there has to be some good bait out there for thim please help me catch one ill add 5 stars to the best nd or good answer
