Where I live, Florida, we have grass carp. I use actual clippings of freshly cut grass to catch them. I use 12 pound test line rigged with a split shot and 1/0 bait hook. I load up the hook with the grass clippings until it's well hidden. I do alot of site fishing so I wait until I see the grass carp and cast well ahead of them in the direction they're going. This doesn't spook them and allows time for the bait to sink. That's what I use, It works for me so maybe it'll help you out.~good luck catchin'. |
