Default how do you know when fish is bad to eat (catfish)?

had the fish in the refrigerator a couple of days, when I opened it , it felt a little sticky and slimy

I have to disagree with Dion and say that it's usually bad when it does smell really fishy. Fresh, good fish should have hardly any odor, if it's starting to smell fishy, chances are that it's going or gone bad.
Fresh, Filletted fish will generally have a refridgerated shelf life of about 3 or 4 days.

I have to disagree with Dion and say that it's usually bad when it does smell really fishy. Fresh, good fish should have hardly any odor, if it's starting to smell fishy, chances are that it's going or gone bad.
Fresh, Filletted fish will generally have a refridgerated shelf life of about 3 or 4 days.
