guppies can be bullies, i would still get more females than males, at some point it's all going to switch and you're going to lose your females. babies will arrive whether you want them to or not, but the adults will eat fry, if you leave it as is it will just be down to natural selection.
corys should be in groups of 3 or more, get some more schwartzi corys. they are highly sociable fish. same as the shrimp.
yes you can add neon tetras, add a group of six, provided your tank has matured enough to handle new bioload.
if you find that the guppies are getting to everything, it's going to be worse if you add neons. the best way would be to feed the guppies on one side of the tank, and while they're preoccupied, take a pinch of the pellets and stick your arm in the tank at the other end dropping it straight on to the substrate for the others to get. shrimp also appreciate sinking algae wafers and blanched vegetables. |
