the betta needs a nice warm tropical tank too.
3cm baby bristlenoses are VERY fragile. so if it's being kept in a small aquarium the water conditions would have to be pristine and perfect at ALL times. being chased constantly could cause it undue stress and could kill it. it's diet would have to be maintained carefully, they need plenty of fresh greens (blanched veges) and bogwood in order to thrive. baby bristlenoses also benefit from baby brine shrimp in their diet. it would be unlikely to thrive long in a small tank.
babies can be kept in a 10-12 gallon, but are best in 15 gallons plus to grow to adulthood. they are very heavy waste producers. |
