Catfish fishing?

I am going to go cat fishing in middle tennessee tomorrow and i am going to be useing chicken livers.

I have saw where people use swivles and weight.

Do I have to use a swivel?

What about weights?

What is the best size of hook to use also.

A swivel keeps the bait on the hook. And catfish usually feeds near the bottom so therefore the use of a weight is suggested. The size of hook is up to you..Do you fish for small or larger fish? As far as bait goes, I stick with stink bait, best for catfish. Good luck.
