can catfish bait attract other fish?

i just got some catfish bait but does it also attract other fish like bass or panfish or does it just attract catfish

That will depend on the type of bait and scent.If it's a sweet bait then you're liable to attract some carp and smallmouth buffalo.The pan fish might nibble at stink baits,but I've never heard or had a bass hit on it.

It most likely won't attract any species of bass except possibly Crappie. Catfish bait can also work for Carp and Sunnies/Bluegills. IF you fishing at night then more likely than not you won't be reeling in more Carp than Mudfish.
