15% of the trip cost as a tip to the first mate, no tip to the captain as he would own the boat.

I did a private deep sea fishing trip one time. There were 6 of us and we were out for about 5 hours.
I believe we all tipped about $5. Whether that was entirely right or not we weren't sure, but the two-man boat crew seemed grateful.
