Plecos can grow to about 18", and aren't appropriate for a 10 gallon tank.
Otos are the only sucker fish that stay small enough for your tank. They like to be in small groups so I'd recommend getting 3 of them. I think they are really really cute.
With this many fish in your tank, you should be doing weekly water changes of 25% so your water will stay healthy.
Since your fish are small, I think you can keep 11-12 little fish in your tank. The 1"/gallon rule doesn't take into consideration body size and height of the fish. According to that rule, your 10 gallon tank could accomodate a 10" goldfish, which you see would be ridiculous, the fish would hardly be able to turn around. |
