Are glowfish safe to have around other fish?

I was looking at the petco ad today and they have GLOFISH are these safe to be put in with other tropical fish? Basically do they release any type of chemical that could injure or kill other animals?

yes, they are safe, but if I were you, id not buy them. to me, they are sort of a joke. humanity has totally screwed up the coloration of a beautiful active fish in my opinion. no seerious hobbyist should really purchse these.
