When i combine alcohol & shell fish i become violently ill, what is this called?

i can eat shell fish and drink alcohol separetly. It doesn't matter what kind of alcohol or shell fish combined it is so painful and lasts almost 24 hours. It is like food poisoning. I can't even hold down water. Is there a name for this alergy?

This is not an allergy, but your body certainly don't like it, so it's telling you that you should listen. Usually, if this is all you experience now, if you don't stop, it tends to get worse. Alcohol is a neurotoxin and all of our waters are now polluted by industrial waste, that anything from it is going to affect your body. Oh a neurotoxin is something that destroys your brain cells.

Tina, have you had your thyroid tested? I was very much like this when I was undiagnosed with Graves disease. It is called hyperthyroid extreme! With Graves, there are usually tumors present as well! Such was my case.

I too, would have awkward reactions from shellfish. It made no sense to me but, I would get very ill with stomach cramping and so on!

In as much, I think it would well serve you to have a very simple THS on your thyroid.

I don't know what its called but I wouldn't do that any more! More than likely the alchohol is breaking down the mercury in the shellfish. So your getting mercury poisoning which has all the symptoms of food poisoning. You can become very ill eating too much shellfish it can even kill you. I would bet my bottom dollar its a form of mercury poisoning. Slow down on the shellfish.

Look , shell fish is found to be the cause of allergy for many people.Why not avoid this item.Get an allergy test done......the test will identify the items which are to avoided by you as these are allergens for you.
