What are some cool fish I can put in my aquarium?

Just some cool fish I could put in my 1.5X1.5 foot aquarium. Also I forgot this creatures name but it looks sort of like a small lizard but it can swim.....Do you guys know what I'm talking about? The skin is very slippery...Thanks guys!
Sorry it's a 15 gallon tank, fresh water.

Get some pink kissing guaramis. (sp??) I had some of these and they really did kiss! It was really cool. Maybe you are talking abuot some type of eel??

sorry dont know the amphibian thing but..... What i think you should get is some platys, ( have have platys) dwarf gouramis, swordtails and mollies. dont mix angel fish with them because there semi aggressive. they might attack other fish but some people say that they get along just fine. but I wouldnt take the risk.
