I would do ONE betta 2 mollies, 2 tetras, 2 guppies (no females or all females), you may want to check out Glo(w)fish and see if you would rather have those. Filtration is a must I would look at this one http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=3578+3579+12320&pcatid=12320 It would cost you ~$6 for three months of cartridges (figuring you change it monthly!), heater should be set at 78?, take or loose a little bit is fine (my tank is at 77.4?), some fake plants or live which ever you prefer. Maybe a snail or so but they do breed asexually and sexually so you may get more then you wanted in the end, a light low lighting is fine. Maybe a colored bulb. Good Luck also cycle correctly I suggest using Bio-Spira, its in the refrigerator are of the pet store by the fish, also use a de-chlorinator!

You really should have no more than 8 fish of that size in a 10 gallon tank. Ideally 78 would be a better temp for them.

Keep in mind, mollies, and guppies are live bearers. For each male you should have at least 2 females. Oh, and they will have fry. If you want to keep any of the fry then you will need to have some plants that they can hide in.

I'm not really sure but I don't know if I would put a betta in a tank with any other fish... they tend to be very violent towards others. At least, mine was to my Black Moor Goldfish but it could have been because of the long fins. This may or may not be an issue. Just thought I might bring it to your attention.
