All of my fish died?

All of my fish died and i dont know what i did wrong.
i think im going to empety out all of the water clean it then start over by filling it with distilled water. And im going to wait 4 days and get three fish.
I want it to be salt water. How do i do this, and what are some hardy fish i can start out with?
