which is quite humid? my aquarium is around 25 gallons , and has 8 gold fishes in it , i stay in a place which is quite humid , i hv kept the aquarium near the wall away from the window though it has a light system fitted in, is it a requirement to keep it in a place where sunlight is coming or is it ok away from it also ? also how often should i be cleaning it , i hv 4 plants of diff size planted in it is tht sufficient .............

I think your tank is definately overstocked. Goldfish are very very messy fish, and they need a lot more room than tropical fish do. You need to have a very food filtration system if your going to keep them all in there. Also, you probably need to be doing water changes every week to be sure your ammonia levels are acceptable. As for the sunlight, goldfish are coldwater fish, so you infact should be keeping them away from direct sunlight. Over exposure to the sun will raise the water temperature making them more susceptible to illnesses and shortening their lifespan. As long as you keep their light on for about 8 hours a day, they will be fine. Good luck!

you either need to get rid of some of the gold fish or upgrade to a 75 and above gallon tank each goldfish needs 20 gallons and you are far to over crowded, you cant keep on top of cleaning the tank as you will be dealing with high ammonia and nitrite levels permanently and even the best filtration in the world wont keep that tank clean

I think 25 gallons for 8 gold fishes(medium/large size) is a lil too much. Gold fishes will be fine with the tank light.

Gold fishes are known as nasty fishes. Check the water parameters every other day and if you find any of the ammonia, nitrite or nitrate levels high, then change the water.

Also clean the gravel, gold fishes are botttom feeders even then there will be loads of waste. You dont want it lying arnd in your tank.!!

waaaay too many fish in that tank

get a bigger tank or get rid of some fish

as for cleaning, do a water change of about 20% once or twice a week
