 Betta fish with swollen chest/ upper belly?
After his last water change a couple days ago, my male betta (had him 2 1/2 years) started to look swollen behind/under his gills where those two long tendril-like fins hang down. It has gotten worse in the last day, and he is sitting on the bottom alot. He is still eating. Should I stop feeding him? Add salt? (I have iodized AND epsom salt here) Feed him a peeled and cooked green pea? It's not dropsy - his scales are smooth.
