What are fish tank essentials for warm fresh water fish?

So far I just got the air pump. I used to have a whole set but I sold it. Now I just have a 10 gallon tank and the pump. What am I missing? I don't remember.
I have the hiding place, gravel, fake plants.

u need a filter designed for at least 15 gallons. i like undergravel filters to go with the other filter too. u need a heater, water conditioner, theromonater, optional(gravel, plants, decorations,) and fish

for a fish to have a happy and healty life, you will need:

*tank (done)
*pump (done)
*rocks
*thermometer
*some kind of ornament/hiding place.
*some kind of plant (fake/alive, perferrably alive.)
*water heater/light
*Water treatment that takes out chlorine
*fish food (obviously)
*net to clean the fish's cage
*knowledge about what the fish needs/likes

The rest depends on what kind of fish you are getting.( the exact breed)
