Can you get your omega fatty acids from sources other than fish? I've heard that fish are good for you because they have omega fatty acids and other stuff. The problem is that I hate eating fish, touching them, and am just creeped out by them, particularly bony fish (sharks and rays aren't really creepy). If there was one animal kingdom I could have wiped out completely from this earth it would be fish. I mean, when you go to one of those aquariums and see one of those nasty looking fish constantly moving its mouth to allow water in over its gills, it looks like it would be so sick to eat or even touch that gross thing!
Are there other good sources of the omega fatty acids? I've heard that walnuts have some, but then they're quite expensive and I'm on a college budget. Are walnuts a good source? Are there other good sources? Do fish have other nutrients in them besides the omegas? Can you get those nutrients easily elsewhere? Do I have to resort to those nasty slimy things with fins and creepy looking heads? |
