55 gallon fish tank~what fish should I get?

I have a 55 gallon fish tank that my parents are letting me set up. It will be freshwater.

I don't know what fish I want. Something with alot of personality, and doesn't stay really small.

I was thinking of a couple of blood parrot cichlids, and some african cichlids and a plechostomas...what do you think?

Gouramis, angelfish, tetras (in general), & pleco. Most of these can be pretty big depending. If you do want some gouramis and you want them to breed buy some plants and they will take the plants and make a bubble house!!

what about tetras??? Cardinals, Neons, lemon, rummy nose. Or maybe some blood hearts. The fish you named are way too aggressive . They will only stay together. If you put any thing else, they will die!
