BIIIIG QUESTIONABOUT BETTAS PLEASE PLEASE ANSWER, FISH PEOPLE! jUST LOOK!?

Ok, so here's the deal. I have a beutiful black delta tail pair ready to spawn, a nice bubblenest and all, but I heard that I great way to get bettas to spawn is to add tannins to there water. Could you use natural tea to add tannins? I know that tea has tannins but like is that safe for fish? There is no lethal dose of tannins and I hav heard of people doing it but it just sounds so crazy! If you can help me plz post!!!!
