Is my fish dying??????

I have a big Oscar Grow, and for the past couple of weeks he has escaped [jumped out and landed on the floor!!] from his tank 3 times and has started to lay and swim sideways. My parents are thinking he may be blind [maybe he hurt his eye/s from the escapes] or he may be dying. Idk what I should do. Why is he acting all weird like that? today he was lying COMPLETELY flat on his rock [thingies] and swimming around sideways! Please Help! Thanks
