Default Pike fishing?

I have fished in this lake for a couple years and i know theres giant pike in it. If you can catch walleye on rocky bottoms, is it possible to use a lure and catch pike on the bottom? Or, if you know where all the big northerns go during the day, I would like to know.
The lake has barely any fishing pressure at all

Deep water. I f the tempature of the water is anything above 65' then the big pike go to deep water 10 feet and higher.

Does this lake see alot of fishing pressure?

Northern's don't take "pressure" very well,(IMHO).

Drop-off's with a VERY thick weedbed nearby is probably your best bet,(Weedbed in 5-6 FT droping off to 15-20 FT). During the heat of the day, Northern's tend to "hold" in deepwater weedbeds waiting for a convenient meal to happen by & to keep "cool".

In the day ( full sun), I like to throw a 1/4-1/2 OZ single bladed Indiana/Colorado spinnerbait in a color that is "flashy" but not TOO un-natural,(Green/White/Crawfish color's, Etc). Weedless Spoon's, ( I like the Rapala Spoon in Gold/Firetiger), with a Berkley grub as a "trailer" works good too! Also, for some serious "slop" try throwin' a 6-8 inch Ribbontailed/Swimming Worm rigged Texas Style.

Downsize your line and use a "Lo-viz" Wire leader.

Remember that "bigger" is not always "better". If your lake see's ton's of fishermen then they've seen every Rapala, Spinnerbait, Crank, Etc in the "store". Try something "stealthy"!

Good luck!

try using chartreuse crank-baits running fast and deep, another good choice are rattletraps.......

Yup, they can be very deep. I once caught a 20lb+ monster jigging for lake trout in 40ft of water. They like flourescent pink. Use a big jighead or spinner on a bottom bouncer.
