Default Trout n Traces?

I'm going fishing this weekend for a large trout in a small highland pool which i lost about 1 month ago. It snapped the line last time without much resistance which makes me wonder if it has sharp teeth for a trout and i was wondering if this time i should use heavier fluorocarbon perhaps or play it safe and go for a wire trace? Also, will a trout take a rapalla fished with a wire trace or is it too sensitive? (incase anyone is wondering, yes, i'm sure it was'nt a pike)

No a trout will NOT hit something with a wire leader, trout are very wary fish and tent to "inspect" their bait before eating it, if the see something fishy (no pun intended) with it they will swim off and tell all of their trout buddies. (not really but, you get my drift)

```good catchin```
hi mate, a trout wont take if you use a trace, its teeth wont cut your line, just up on your line a couple pound, if you hook it again take your time give it line. i hope you land it good luck dude.
Try a heavier test line this time and fish the Rapala but I would not recommend using wire trace trout are very spooky fish,
How about using braid?
I prefer to use braid traces in some instances because it has a very very high strength in relation to the diameter and, if you choose the right colour for the water, camouflaged and it's very supple.
Try it.
