can you eat tuna fish while pregnant?

i ate a tuna melt last night (i just toasted bread and put cheese and tuna on it) and i got really sick and threw up this morning but i am not sure if i got sick because of something else..i am almost 4 months pregnant with my second and i do not remember being told not to eat tuna fish..
can you eat it while pregnant any special rules?

I was told to eat it in moderation, the tuna cans have warnings on them. It's the mercury content. I've had tuna twice this pregnancy with no drama connected. But use caution and moderation with tuna. Good Luck! xx

There's a limit to how much you can have -- I believe it's one serving a week but I could be wrong, you should ask the doctor or just Google it .. you'll be able to find a lot of foods we aren't supposed to eat .. it's like we're only allowed bread & water

You can eat it, but make it minimal. I think it's like 2 times a week that is acceptable. The regular canned tuna is fine, but I heard you aren't supposed to eat Albacore tuna as it has higher levels of mercury.

there is Mercury in tuna i've been told not to eat it, I cant eat deli meat to this day it makes me sick and im 32 weeks

Yep. It was one thing I could actually keep down when I had morning sickness.
